I do not have much experience with this exact piece (mainly regarding what blank should be used), but when this arrived I had the most confusing time trying to determine what the blank was. It was like a mix of velvet, spandex, and some heavy cotton. It is soft like velvet, thin/stretchy like spandex, but retains forms like heavy cotton. Needless to say, I still am confused.
